Nuxvid

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains, in detail, what data nuxvid.com ("we," "us," "the Site") collects when you visit, the purpose and legal basis for processing it, how long it's kept, and what rights you have over it.

1. Data Controller

nuxvid.com is the data controller for information collected through this Site. For any privacy-related request, contact us at privacy@nuxvid.com.

2. What We Collect

2.1 Account Data

There is no user registration or account system on this Site. We do not ask visitors for an email address, password, or any similar credential.

2.2 Comments

When you submit a comment, the name and text you provide are published publicly once the comment passes moderation. You're free to use a pseudonym rather than your real name.

2.3 Rating Data

When you rate a video, your IP address and browser information are converted into an anonymous, one-way (irreversible) hash — used solely to prevent the same visitor from rating the same video repeatedly. Your raw IP address is never stored in plain text in our database.

2.4 Server & Security Data

To protect the Site against abuse (spam, excessive requests, automated attacks), IP address and browser information may be processed briefly, in server memory only, and are not retained in a permanent database. Our hosting provider's standard access logs may be kept for a limited period for security and uptime purposes.

2.5 Cookies & Local Storage

  • Strictly necessary: A record is saved to your browser's local storage to remember your 18+ age confirmation. This is required for the Site's core function and cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics (optional): Where enabled, we may use a third-party analytics service (e.g. Google Analytics, Plausible) to understand traffic patterns; these services may set their own cookies. The specific provider in use may change from time to time; an up-to-date list is available on request.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

  • Publishing and moderating comments — based on legitimate interest (maintaining community quality) and your voluntary submission.
  • Preventing duplicate ratings and abuse — based on legitimate interest (protecting service integrity).
  • Securing the Site and blocking attacks — based on legitimate interest.
  • Analyzing site performance, where analytics is enabled — based on consent.

4. Data Retention

Approved comments remain visible for as long as the associated video page remains published. Rating identifiers (hashes) are retained for as long as needed to serve the duplicate-vote-prevention purpose. Temporary security-related processing data (see 2.4) is not stored permanently and is cleared automatically within a short window.

5. Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). All user input (comments, names) is validated server-side, length-limited, and sanitized to strip any potentially harmful script or code.

6. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared only with service providers necessary to operate the Site (e.g. hosting/server providers, and an analytics provider where enabled), who process it solely on our behalf and under our instructions.

7. Third-Party Links

The Site links to third-party websites hosting video content and to short-link providers (e.g. tr.link, goo.st, Linkvertise). Those sites have their own privacy practices, cookie policies, and data handling — we are not responsible for them. We recommend reviewing each site's own privacy policy before clicking through.

8. Your Rights (GDPR and Similar Frameworks)

If you're accessing the Site from the EU/EEA, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — to find out what data we hold about you
  • Right of rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right of erasure — to request deletion (e.g. removal of a comment)
  • Right to restrict processing
  • Right to object — to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Right to withdraw consent — for consent-based processing such as analytics
  • Right to lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, contact: privacy@nuxvid.com

9. Children's Privacy

This Site is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we become aware that we have, we will delete it promptly.

10. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. As there is currently no industry-wide standard for responding to it, we do not currently respond to these signals automatically; your use of analytics remains governed by the cookie choices described above regardless.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected on this page, and the "last updated" date at the bottom is revised with every revision.
